A LEGENDARY ITV newsreaders will make a shock comeback to television on a rival channel.
Sir Trevor McDonald is set to appear on Channel 4‘s digital station More4 at the end of the month.

The former ITV News presenter will join Bill Bailey for his More4 series[/caption]
The award-winning former ITN journalist, 84, will join Bill Bailey on his travel show.
Bill, 59, will take a stroll around Essex as he and Sir Trevor explore the areas perfect pub walks.
During the episode viewers will see the pair take in the views that inspired artist John Constable around Dedham Vale, the Essex and Suffolk border and the Stour Estuary.
Dad-of-three Trevor will at first discuss his emigration from Trinidad with Bill.
Trevor will also share an insight into his career as a journalist, spanning over decades.
Fans will get to see Trevor’s onscreen comeback on Tuesday, February 26th on More4.
Prior to Trevor’s retirement from ITV he earned a reported £600,000 per year.
Sir Trevor retired in 2005 but came out of retirement in 2007 – while not involved in day-to-day broadcasting, he regularly presents ITV specials.
He retired for a second time in 2008.
In 1999 Trevor was given a Knighthood for his services to journalism.
