A WOMAN has revealed that she moved her five children from a house to a shed, leaving many open-mouthed.
Now, the mother is pregnant with her sixth child and has proudly showed off her ‘shabin’ – a mix between a shed and a cabin, that she lives in with her family.
Posting on social media under the username ‘Freestyle Homestead’, the mum-of-five gave her followers a close-up look at her ‘homestead life’.
The woman described her lifestyle as a ‘simple life’ and explained that her large family have been living in the middle of the woods since 2022.
In a clip shared online, the woman gave her followers a look inside her ‘tiny’ home, which she thinks is a ‘smart way to live’.
She explained: “In 2022 we sold or gave away most of our possessions…
“We sold our almost 3000 square foot house/hobby farm and moved our five kids to 20 acres in the middle of the woods.
“We lived in our camper while we created a home in an Old Hickory shed.
“Our ultimate goal is to be as debt free as possible and spend more time as a family.
“This journey is a lot of hard work, but worth it!”
In another video, the mother shared how people reacted when she revealed she was moving her family into a shed.
The woman penned: “People when we told them we were moving into a shed with our five kids.”
Alongside the clip, the mother attached an audio that said: “You’re joking? You’re joking…”
She later claimed: “Best decision ever! I don’t think I could ever go back.”
But not only this, the mother revealed the reasons why she likes a simple lifestyle.

In another clip, she asked: “Why do we want to live more simply?”
She then confirmed: “More time spent as a family. No mortgage. We can afford to travel more.”
Not only this, but she then revealed that as a result of her lifestyle, she now has a “low electric bill” and is “closer to nature”.
But if that wasn’t enough, the mother also added: “Life is short. We want to enjoy it together.”
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @freestylehomestead, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed 48,000 views.
‘Dream’ life
Social media users rushed to the comments – as many hailed this family’s lifestyle as their ‘dream’.
One person said: “This my goal.”
Another added: “Wish I could do this.”
A third commented: “This is the life I want.”
Whilst another user admitted: “This is our dream. We are full-time in our camper.”
At the same time, someone else penned: “The way the country is now, this might end up being the smartest thing you’ve ever done.”
