How to make your lips age backward with simple skincare trick for a wrinkly pout that promises to bring volume

WHEN it comes to anti-ageing, the mouth is often overlooked despite it being one of the first areas to lose volume in our face.

Just like the skin around our eyes, lips are delicate and will inevitably form fine lines as they lose their plumpness

Studies have even found that lips are one of the most noticeable areas when it comes to ageing skin

One content creator, who dedicates a lot of her time to “ageing gracefully”, has shared her skincare hack to make your lips age backwards.

Cindy Currie assured women that they won’t need to worry about a wrinkly pout thanks to her tip.

“There’s a couple of things I do to get rid of the lines and keep them from coming around my mouth,” she shared in a TikTok video.

“I drink out of a straw all the time and I don’t really want to stop doing that.

“It’s really simple and you probably didn’t even think of it, but you’re putting your eye-cream on, you’re all finished up, and you’ve got a little bit left.

“That’s gonna get dabbed around your lips, every single time.”

Most eye creams are formulated with wrinkles and fine lines in mind, so Cindy’s hack has some legitimacy to it.

“The skin around your lips is so delicate,” she explained.

“Make everything that’s good in eye cream that’s working on your eyes, to be around your lips.”

Cindy also uses red light therapy to stimulate collagen production in her pout.

Red light therapy uses wavelengths of light to activate cells and aid in the healing of our skin.

Its therapeutic application can penetrate the skin up to 6mm beneath the surface, without causing any damage.

Other hacks she uses are gua sha massages and taping the skin around her mouth to create a “moisture barrier”.

As we age, the supporting collagen, fat pads and muscles in and around our lips start to sag.

This is what creates the appearance of a wrinkly pout.

These changes typically start happening in your 40s and become more noticeable as the years go on.

There are plenty of advanced and invasive treatments you can try to restore volume to your lips, but the safest way would be learning mature skin friendly beauty techniques.
